THE NUDIST COLONY – II: TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE R

…Continued from

Interestingly, this was a much better bike than I expected it to be, especially in such exalted company. Triumph has obviously been listening to its customers, made a few very clever tweaks to an already good bike, and made a truly great bike as a result.

The handling is precise without any of the twitchiness you get on some sports bikes and it feels very surefooted and planted. It just seems constantly to be in its happy place — doubtlessly because of its grunty and perfectly fuelled motor and the virtually perfect handling. Lighter wheels and better brakes have made so much difference to the bike, it’s not funny.

The level of finish is very high and the seating position and seat combine to offer great ergos. It is not the most powerful or challenging bike to ride — but it is certainly and far and away the most enjoyable.

About the Author

is a writer who has contributed to many magazines and websites over the years, edited a couple of those things as well, and written a few books. But his most important contribution is pissing people off. He feels this is his calling in life and something he takes seriously. He also enjoys whiskey, whisky and the way girls dance on tables. And riding motorcycles. He's pretty keen on that, too.
