MAGNIFICENT MAX’S 1996 ROYAL ENFIELD
Deep in the dark heart of Brooklyn, New York, is Max Hazan’s eponymous Hazan Motorworks shop.
This is where, over a period of two months, Max hand-built this astonishing motorcycle – his take on an Indian-made, late-model Royal Enfield.
“This was the first time that I built everything from scratch. Every lever, linkage, cable… each part was made to been seen.”
We’re looking, Max. And we’re seeing.
It is unlikely you’ll be able to sit on this all the way down the Hume.
Nope. Don’t look any more comfortable from this angle, either.
Every part…every nut…every bolt…spot on.
Like everything else, Max made these.
A silhouette of striking simplicity and beauty
Mmmm…reboundy…
Max would take a bow, but he might slip off the seat. Bravo, mate. Awesome work.

About the Author
Boris is a writer who has contributed to many magazines and websites over the years, edited a couple of those things as well, and written a few books. But his most important contribution is pissing people off. He feels this is his calling in life and something he takes seriously.
He also enjoys whiskey, whisky and the way girls dance on tables. And riding motorcycles. He's pretty keen on that, too.
