SUPER SPEAKER – BRAVEN BRV-1

Once in a while, you come across truly beaut bit of kit.

Many were the times I have sat on the side of the road yodeling songs, screwing up the lyrics and scaring off the bears and Tyrannosaurs that beset this wide, wild land of ours. Music, which I sang myself out of my own neck, and was invariably shit, was what helped me pass the time waiting for succor. I don’t break down that often any more, but I kinda wish I did since Braven has produced this amazing speaker.

Waterproof, stupidly strong and rugged (like I once was), it can work as a phone charger, hands-free speaker to answer your calls on the fly (yes, it is Bluetoothed right up in everyone’s shit), or you can simply plug in your smartphone and listen to the Rolling Stones as buzzards circle overhead. The bass response is outstanding and it looks tactical enough to please even the most ardent SAS wannabe. You may even have it in blue and grey, or black and orange.

No, it does not produce water out of its bottom. But you can drop it in a puddle. Or a river.

The man you wanna see about this speaker is the sensually adventurous Andy of Andy Strapz fame – and you know he does not sell a single bit of rubbish. The bloke rides, he tests everything he sells and I have been using his gear for years. I once stomped a feral cow to death in a pair of his boots.
