NEW MOTO GUZZI GRISO & V7 II FOR 2015
This is my favourite bike. I make no excuses for that. I have need to. It is what it is. I would buy one tomorrow.
And this is the new one, which is now available with some red in the colour scheme.
The 90-degree V-twin Quattrovalvole engine now produces 110 HP at only 7500 rpm and a 108 Nm at 6400 rpm. It is an elegant sufficiency. Stick a Lanfranconi pipe on it and grin like a demon.
Did you know the Griso is named after a stunningly wicked character in Alessandro Manzoni’s delightful literary piece: I Promessi Sposi? No? Neither did I. But now I do.
I also know that there’s a few new V7 IIs arriving imminently. Tastefully, the Italians have now painted in yummy matte colours that sound like mafia hitmen (Nero Ruvido and Rosso Impetuoso), so it looks funkier than ever before, and dubbed it the Stone.
Yes, it’s a 750, but it now comes with a close-ratio, six-speed box, ABS, traction control, and redesigned clutch. They’ve also tilted the engine forward some four degrees which provides a little bit more leg room for your sexy long model legs.
There is also a limited edition V7 II Racer coming later this year, if none of these do it for you.
The burgeoning hipster market is not neglected and the beardies will be able to buy a bunch of accessories to make their V7 II stand out from the herd of leaky XS650s and SR500s they all seem to surround themselves with.
Go touch yourself over the entire Guzzi range here. Mind you don’t interrupt me, but.
