I had a brief business trip to Perth. You have to stay overnight, because there’s three or four\u00a0hours travel each way. So I posted\u00a0on the BIKE ME! forum that I would fain blow the froth off a cold one or two with the locals, and flew in to town Sunday.<\/p>\n

That Fat Yak is a fine beer. It is a pleasant shade of brown, and as cold and bitter as an ex wife, and has bubbles.<\/p>\n
That Cabernet Merlot that Scott the Pariah inflicted on us at dinner is a fine wine. I think it is from Western Australia. It is like angels crying on your tongue, except not as salty.<\/p>\n
The steaks at Sullivans are good.<\/p>\n
That Sambuca is a fine liqueur. It has a pleasant aniseed flavour and a lingering afterburn, and drinkers of it convince themselves that they are pretty hot stuff and sit around in bars for hours trying to chat up a nineteen year old cocktail waitress.<\/p>\n
She had us sussed from the start, and would have none of it. We gave her tips on how to pass her law exams and succeed as a barrister specializing in torts and civil liability. She looked sceptical.<\/p>\n
