But it sure has worked, sending sales of Victory bikes through the roof.<\/p>\n<p>As the sales for the road-bike market declined by 17.2 per cent in February (yes, it\u2019s kinda tough out there at the moment), Victory was the only brand to grow its sales by 44 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Harvey, Country Manager for Victory, was as surprised as anyone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, we have seen a bit of a buying frenzy,\u201d he stated in a press release. \u00a0\u201cWe are seeing a mixture of bargain hunters who are after a great bike at a great price but we are also seeing people who believe the collectability of these bikes will result in longer-term value.<\/p>\n<p>He also feels that people are taking this opportunity to realise a wish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have also seen loads of customers who had set their long term goals around buying a Victory but hadn\u2019t got there yet \u2013 now these buyers are incredibly keen to make sure their long term ambition is met before the last bikes are sold\u201d.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_292790\" style=\"width: 630px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-292790\" class=\"wp-image-292790 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/bikeme.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/15055836_708607095961140_2593309064568512399_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"552\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bikeme.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/15055836_708607095961140_2593309064568512399_n.jpg 620w, https:\/\/bikeme.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/15055836_708607095961140_2593309064568512399_n-300x267.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bikeme.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/15055836_708607095961140_2593309064568512399_n-393x350.jpg 393w, https:\/\/bikeme.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/15055836_708607095961140_2593309064568512399_n-600x534.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-292790\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">It&#8217;s very salty at the moment.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A lot of interest is in the Octane \u2013 which in my view is the best bike Victory has ever built and you can read about that <a href=\"http:\/\/bikeme.tv\/index.php\/2016-victory-octane-the-grey-eminence\/\">HERE<\/a>.
