| Serious off road riders like wearing gaily coloured clothing and sitting on rocks. And who can blame them? |
Non-serious off road drivers will want to go back to their basket weaving or handbag carrying or whatever they do.
The group (Online Off Road Tours, that is, not non-serious off road riders) have released their event calendar for next year, with limited places being made available for the unique high country rides that have featured in Trailzone, ADB Magazine and MXTV. These are magazines which us serious off road riders read while non-serious off road riders are getting in touch with their feminine side or whatever they do.
Ride Coordinator Rod Lay reports that '08 tours are already filling and due to their popularity, riders will need to get in early to avoid disappointment.
"Each tour is different, taking in different track styles, views, food and accommodation," said Rod. "The three day tour to Tom Groggin will also involve a free rider coaching course from a Level 2 coach and a chance to indulge in some high country trout fishing."
All tours are well supported by three or four expert guides, and a fully kitted back up 4-wheel drive complete with an ambulance officer and chef prepared meals. The ambulance officer is in case you have brought a non-serious off road rider with you and some of the other guys find out. The chef prepared meals are in case you have brought a non-serious off road rider with you and he doesn't want to hook or shoot his meal like a serious off road rider.
There's also a copy of Marie Claire magazine in the 4-wheel drive for non-serious off road riders.
